Penrose jewelry is constructed with hand blown glass beads made by internationally known artist Ricky Bernstein. Ricky's art work is represented in several major museum collections thoughout the United States including the American Craft Museum in NYC, the Renwick Art Museum in Washington DC, and the DeYoung Museum of Art in San Francisco. Most notably, Penrose jewelry is featured by the Smithsonian Museum Shops, including the Hershorn Museum of Art, and the Renwick. The jewelry is conceived by Elisabeth Cary, whose inspiration is derived from her passion for gardening and lovely use of color. Penrose glass Jewelry is handcrafted from hand blown glass beads and Austrian crystals. A multi-layered effect is achieved through a careful layering process using colored glass pigment and clear hot glass. Earwires and clasps are sterling silver. All Penrose jewelry is made and assembled in their studio in the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts.
