Robert Wilhelm intends to surprise viewers with his exploration of form, function and surface decoration and his playful approach to making everyday objects. His shapes, either turned on a lathe or carved, invite us to touch and provide visual excitement.
Wilhelm's work with Native American totems and fetishes in the mid-1990s inspired his pepper mill and saltshaker collection. These functional art pieces are available in a range of styles and vibrant hand-painted color combinations.
All mills and shakers are made in the U.S. in limited editions. Each piece is signed by the artist, Robert Wilhelm. |
